Rosso Levanto is the historic burgundy marble of Italy's Liguria coast — an ophicalcite, not a true calcite marble, with a deep red-to-burgundy field crossed by white calcite veining and subtle green serpentine traces. It has anchored cathedrals, palazzi, and grand civic spaces since the Renaissance. Campolonghi's Select Grade keeps the color saturated and the white veining clean.
“Honed reads more contemporary than the traditional polished cut.”
Honed reads more contemporary than the traditional polished cut. Polish on Rosso Levanto is the historic finish — formal, reflective, demanding. Honed brings the same depth of color down to a calmer surface that fits modern interiors: a single statement island, a powder room wall, a fireplace surround where the burgundy needs to anchor the room without dominating it.
On the floor at Royal Stone in 71" × 118", 2cm. Additional 2cm and 3cm available against project orders. Walk the slab in daylight — burgundy stones photograph cooler than they read, and the green accents only show up under direct light.
