Calacatta Breccia Turquoise Light YG556 is a quieter member of the breccia family — a white Calacatta ground broken by horizontal seams of pale turquoise, sage, and soft gray. The movement reads almost geological: clean upper and lower fields of white separated by a wide, painterly band of color across the middle of the slab.
“The honed surface keeps the contrast soft and the color cool, which makes the stone unusually flexible.”
The honed surface keeps the contrast soft and the color cool, which makes the stone unusually flexible. It works against warm oak and brass without going amber, and against blackened steel and pale plaster without going cold. The band placement also makes it a strong candidate for a bookmatched feature wall, vanity, or island front.
This slab arrived at the Royal Stone yard this week. Walk in to see it on the A-frame before it leaves the floor.
