Costa Smeralda takes its name from the Emerald Coast of Sardinia, but the stone itself is quarried in Brazil. A soft seafoam-green field, run through with delicate white crystalline veining and the occasional gold mineral trace — the visual softness of a green marble with the harder, denser structure of a true quartzite underneath.

This lot is 2cm in a heavy leather finish, worked after calibration with diamond-bristle brushes. The texture deepens the green toward true emerald, catches light unlike a flat honed surface, and forgives fingerprints and watermarks in a way polished stone never will. Each slab measures roughly 79″ × 123″ — enough for a waterfall island or a long uninterrupted counter run.
The lot is open for selection now at 2303 South Sepulveda. Slabs can be tagged and held for your fabricator anywhere in the greater Los Angeles area.
