Patagonia Original is the classical reading of this Brazilian quartzite — wide ivory and cream fragments scattered across a cool ground, set against amber, rust and burnt-orange veining that runs diagonally between the fragments like fire between stones. AO683 is a Unique-grade lot, which is Antolini's top selection for movement and balance: the composition reads as composed rather than chaotic, with clear breathing room between the heavier passages.
Polished at 2cm. The mirror surface brings out the full depth of the amber, lacquers the rust passages into something closer to molten copper, and reveals the translucence of the crystal pockets along the vein edges. It's the right finish for a slab built this much around its color.

Backlit, Patagonia Original AO683 transforms entirely — the rust and amber veining lights up like cut citrine and molten gold, while the ivory fragments hold as quiet pale anchors. It's the strongest argument for using Patagonia as a backlit feature: a bar back, a fireplace surround, a freestanding island. The piece stops reading as stone and starts reading as light.
Antolini, lot AO683, 2cm, 75" × 121" — on the floor at Royal Stone. Walk it at the yard; we'll pull a light behind it so you can read the translucency before specifying.
